After it has been somewhat quiet around the singer and songwriter in recent years, Anastacia is back in 2023 with an English cover of the “Die Toten Hosen” song “Tage wie diese” and will release her new album “Our Songs” on September 22.

2023 is an exciting year for all Anastacia fans. The singer, who has been thrilling us for years with her powerful voice and emotional lyrics, has some exciting projects on the go.
One of the highlights of this year is definitely the announcement of her new album “Our Songs”, which will be released on September 22. This album is a very special project for Anastacia and above all underlines her strong ties to Germany.

When Anastacia’s debut single plays on the radio, you’re guaranteed to not get it out of your head for the rest of the day!
Since the beginning of her career, Anastacia has sold more than 13.8 million records worldwide. Her 2000 debut album, “Not That Kind,” is her most successful release, selling over 4.2 million copies. In Germany alone, she has sold over 3.6 million records to date.
Her most successful song is “Left Outside Alone” from 2004. Other well-known hits by Anastacia include “Paid My Dues” and “Sick and Tired.” In Germany, her song “I Belong To You (Il Ritmo Della Passione)” reached the top position.
Despite her great success in Europe, Anastacia has not been able to score as well in the US. Only with “I’m Outta Love” did she make it into the US singles charts.

Anastacia's fight against cancer: Her illness and social commitment
Anastacia has had to deal with several health challenges and strokes of fate throughout her life, but she has never let them get her down.
The singer was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, a chronic inflammatory bowel disease, at a young age.
In 2003, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Instead of retiring, she decided to fight the disease. When she was diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time in 2013, she even had her breasts removed as a preventive measure. She showed the approximately 30 centimeters long, conspicuous surgical scars on her back in 2006 in the American “Fault” magazine.
Already after her first diagnosis, she founded the Anastacia Fund, which is part of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. She regularly raises money for the organization and the proceeds from the fourth single “Heavy on My Heart” from her album Anastacia were contributed to the organization. In December 2006, she again released three T-shirt designs with proceeds going to the Anastacia Fund.
But Anastacia’s social commitment goes even further. At the end of 2005, she launched a charity collection called “Make a Difference” at fashion house s.Oliver. Proceeds went to an aid organization to help earthquake victims in Pakistan.
Probably the best known trademark next to her voice: The sun glasses
Anastacia is almost always seen wearing glasses, but her eyewear is more than just a necessity – it has become part of her signature style.
Anastacia was one of the first stars to openly and fashionably express her visual impairment. With her more than 40 pairs of glasses, which she changes from performance to performance, she has thrilled her fans worldwide. For her, glasses are not only a visual aid, but also an important accessory and trademark.
She has since undergone eye surgery. However, this does not mean that she has lost her love for glasses. As she says herself, she still loves glasses and enjoys having the option to either wear them or not.
Although she often appears in public without glasses today, glasses remain an important part of Anastacia’s image. And who knows, maybe we’ll see her on stage again with one of her legendary glasses on her tour in 2023! Because as her fans say: Only Anastacia with glasses is also the real Anastacia! Singer Anastacia is more than just a musical talent
As she has already proven with her charity collection, Anastacia is also a design talent: she has lived out her passion for fashion in various projects.
In August 2006, she launched her first fashion line under the name “Anastacia by s.Oliver”. This collection was largely designed by her and was available for four years.
In 2017, Anastacia showed her creative side again and designed a fashion collection that was sold in Aldi supermarkets.
